I am a HUGE breakfast person and always have been. It’s rare that I indulge in a typical fat-filled, sugar-filled, grease-filled (you name it) breakfast, so I love that this recipe gives me the flavor, texture and overall deliciousness of your typical French Toast without the added calories!
2 slices Ezekiel bread (or other 100% whole wheat brand)
1/3 C egg whites
1/2 TBSP cinnamon
1 packet Stevia
1. Mix all ingredients and pour into a container wide enough to lay down your bread
2. Lay down 2 slices of whole wheat bread (I usually use Sara Lee 40-cal per slice) into mixture. Be sure to coat both sides. I waited a few minutes for it to fully soak up the egg white mixture
3. Place bread on a hot griddle over medium heat. Flip onto other side until both sides are golden brown and sizzlin’!
4. Top with sugar free syrup, fresh fruit and wala! Healthy french toast!
